Patent 6,630,507, “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants”, was awarded 4 years later in 2003 to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Think about that for a moment. The U.S. Government, who refuses to acknowledge marijuana as having “any medicinal value”, and keeps it on the Schedule 1 drug list, applied for and owns a patent, on marijuana as a form of medicine. If that doesn’t fall under “say one thing then do something else”, we don’t know what does. It’s a baffling hypocrisy, isn’t it?
